From the Prince of absurdist fiction, this collection of short stories includes Franz Kafka’s masterpieces METAMORPHOSIS, IN THE PENAL COLONY , THE JUDGEMENT and A REPORT TO AN ACADEMY. Kafka is a German author who masterfully uses metaphors with a tinge of dark and melancholic humor for describing the human state of mechanization, conformity and isolation. His unique existential philosophy has earned him his own word “Kafkaesque” in the dictionary. Be warned however, not everyone vibes with Kafka. Personally, I’ll give him a 5star any day.

“I cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself.” — (Kafka; Metamorphosis)
